Introduction
Cellule Fannavar Daru company (CFDC) was established in 2013 by a group of experts and researchers in order to connect education, research and production and to trans fer experiences to the manufacturing sector at the Science and Technology Park of Tehran University, College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Karaj, Iran. In July 2014, it joined the community of knowledge based startups. Some of the most important capabilities of the company are:
- Domestication of plants that are economical and of great value in medicinal, ornamental, garden and rootstock.
- Preparation of protocol for production of uniform clones of plant species through tissue culture.
- Organizing plant tissue culture workshops.
- Technical and specialized advisory in the field of plant tissue culture.
- Production of various kinds of some special plants including blueberry, raspberry, goji berry, blackberry, Logan berry, Morris, Redcurrant, Passion fruit, and etc.
- Production of some GN and GF virus-free explants in Laboratory conditions.
- Production of virus-free rootstocks including GF, GN, etc.
